That’s why the main components such as the machine bed, saw blade carriage, and clamping head are made of steel / concrete composite.

Position transducers improve the forward and return action of the saw chariot for faster production rates. Also included is feed control for better performance. This function limits the cutting feed according to the rated amperage. The cutting parameters for various alloys and billet diameters are stored in the data management system to ensure user-friendly operation. Upstream of the saw, ultrasonic inspection equipment identifies faulty log sections. Then they are removed and scrapped at the saw with the help of log tracking data – a special feature of Hertwich control software.
