The Ruifeng pellet plant in Tangshan, China, is a compact-size iron ore pelletizing facility with a 2 million metric ton annual capacity. The pelletizing plant for Ruifeng Iron & Steel Group, located in Tangshan, Hebei Province, China, features an induration furnace with a grate width of 3 metres and a reaction area of 315 m² and a nominal annual production capacity of 2 million metric tons of iron ore pellets. This plant represents the compact size pelletizing concept, introduced in 2022 to address increasing market demand for facilities with smaller capacities and optimized operational footprints.

A key achievement of the Ruifeng project was the delivery of all major plant equipment within 12 months of contract signature. This accelerated timeline was made possible by targeted efforts to standardize and modularize the plant design, as well as by optimizing engineering, procurement, and project management processes. The modular approach enabled efficient manufacturing, streamlined logistics, and reduced installation time, supporting rapid project execution without compromising technical performance or reliability.

The Ruifeng plant is the twelfth pelletizing project executed in collaboration with the Chinese partner BSIET, continuing a partnership that began with the Shougang Caofeidian project in 2008. Across these twelve projects, plant sizes have ranged from 315 m² to 624 m², with production capacities spanning from 1.7 to 5 million metric tons per year. This portfolio demonstrates the flexibility of the standardized pellet plant concept to meet diverse customer requirements and site conditions.
