Designed for an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons, the CCM^® comes with equipment of a very high technical level, ensuring both, premium strip quality in terms of flatness and efficient mill operation. Beside hydraulic gap control, both 6-high rolling stands are equipped with CVC^® plus roll shifting technology. In combination with positive and negative work and intermediate roll bending, the system enables a wide setting range of the roll gap contour. The position controlled fully automatic wedge adjustment system ensures a constant pass-line. The entry and exit sides of the CCM^® are equipped with X-Shape flatness measuring rolls, which display the shape of the strip online.

The X-Pact^® automation system includes adaptive process model based Level 2 and enables pass schedule optimization.

These high quality features as well as the synergy of mechanical systems from Esmech and X-Pact^® electrical and automation systems from SMS group enable delivering a CCM^® dedicated for rolling tinplate grade material.

This mill will enable The Tinplate Company of India to roll a wide range of cold rolled strip for tinplate products, between 600 to 1300 mm width and exit gauge as low as 0.14 mm.

Commissioning of the CCM^® is scheduled for August 2025.
