Flexible in diameter, strong in wall thickness

Here is how the JCO® method works. First, the previously edge-milled and crimped plate is gradually formed into an open-seam pipe. To do this, a manipulator guides the plate to the forming tool which forms an open-seam tube in stages along the entire length. This creates parallel longitudinal edges ideal for subsequent pipe welding. The process forms wall thicknesses of up to 45mm, lengths of up to 18.3m and handles steel grades of up to X120.

Not only highly flexible, this method also requires lower investment than other processes. That's why it quickly became firmly established on the market after its development by SMS group.

JCO® stands for cost-effective green production:

  • Small & medium sized production capacities
  • Flexible diameters and maximum quality
  • Large wall-thickness possible
  • New VSP hydraulically driven presses for economical and ecological production of challenging pipe dimensions (low carbon footprint)
  • Shape automation system for better pipe quality and higher output
