Processing

Powerful processes for stainless steel strips

Our plants have proved to be successful. They are specially designed for all stainless steel strip treatment stages. Included here are efficient furnace and descaling technology, sophisticated production models, and powerful green technology. That means low production costs, high energy efficiency, and outstanding environmental standards. Plus: here you get complete lines from one source with integrated electrical and automation systems.

Line concepts

Hot-strip annealing and pickling lines

Directly after hot-rolling, these lines anneal and pickle the strip before winding it into coils.

Cold-strip-annealing and pickling lines

Next up is another annealing and pickling process for the cold-rolled strip under different conditions.

Bright annealing lines

Here, the cold rolled strip is cleaned, annealed in an oxygen-free, inert atmosphere with a high hydrogen content, and post-treated in a skinpass mill and tension leveler.

Technology

Furnace technology image

Furnace technology

High-speed, eco-friendly production – Worldwide, more than 25 Drever furnaces for stainless steel strip have been ordered since 2000.

Cooling technology image

Cooling technology

Our Drever furnace offers you two different cooling methods for stainless steel . That ensures you achieve outstanding results with water cooling for hot-strip and mist cooling for cold-strip.

Pickling technology image

Pickling technology

Our pickling process stands out for high surface quality at low energy and acid consumption. Sophisticated pickling and dosing models as well as electrolytic and turbulence pickling systems are also suited for saving resources.
