Anode furnace

Here, the blister copper is charged via ladles into the vessel. Then the fire refining process starts, removing sulfur and oxygen. Once the complete mass has melted, unwanted impurities are removed by oxidation. Next comes chemical reduction with natural gas to remove further impurities (free oxygen). Finally, the anode copper is tapped.
