Hybar LLC’s electric arc furnace (EAF) in marks a new benchmark in modern electric steelmaking. Powered by SMS group’s X Pact® AURA digital ecosystem and advanced DC furnace technology, it is a demonstration of how digital pre-tuning, renewable energy and real time optimization can accelerate commissioning while reducing environmental impact.

“Plug. Power. Pour.” 

Thanks to Real-Time Digital Simulation (RTDS), the complete control environment was pre‑tuned before field installation with a record commissioning time of 2 months and a ramp up going full power in just a few heats.

DC furnace technology for cleaner, more efficient melting

Hybar’s EDGE DC furnace design reduces environmental impact through:
