Tosyali Demir Çelik Sanayi A. Ş. (TOSYALI), based in Iskenderun, Turkey, a subsidiary of Tosyali Holding, expanded its production capacity to meet the growing demand from both the automotive manufacturing and the construction industry, primarily for steel structures for energy transmission lines. The new SMS equipment was integrated into the new greenfield steel production facility Sariseki for flat and long products, with an annual output of more than 2.2 million tons. 

The three ladle furnaces each process heats of 150 tons, serving as buffering stations for liquid steel to harmonize the production flow and enable high-precision control of chemical composition, temperature, and steel castability.  

The SMS Concast seven‑strand caster is a high‑speed combi‑caster configured for 150 mm square billets with provision for a future extension to produce blooms and beam blanks. The scope of supply further included complete Level 1 and Level 2 electrics and automation to optimize processes, ensure high product quality and plant availability, and support product certification. The three ladle furnaces are equipped with SynReg, a technological package for electrode regulation. Complementing the refining tracking and control modules of the Level 2 system, it ensures maximum process efficiency and product quality while minimizing consumption of electric energy and ferroalloys.
