    Whether a classic elevating transfer vehicle or a lift-&-run system for high throughput is used, amova high-bay storage systems impress by their unbeatable durability and their versatility. Thanks to variable compartment heights and single- or multi-deep storage compartments they can be individually adapted to your needs – both in silo design with roof and wall cladding or as freestanding rack system.

  • Cooling technology

    Perishables are protected to perfection

    For the handling of temperature-sensitive goods – such as pharmaceutical products, flowers or food – reliable cooling is extremely important.

    Amova can supply suitable solutions to the most varied problems: provision and monitoring of the power supply in containers with air conditioning unit, creation of specific temperature zones in storage and work areas or individually controlled cold cells. We provide a seamless cold chain that we not only monitor all the way through but, if requested, would also be pleased to document.

  • Elevating transfer vehicles

    Open up the third dimension in the storage area!

    Amova’s elevating transfer vehicles put ULDs into store and take them out again. They are equipped with a lifting gear with a conveyor roller deck. The elevating transfer vehicle moves the ULDs both horizontally and vertically at the same time. The result is faster transfer into and out of store as well as uld handling in conformity to iata requirements.

    We offer two versions: single-rail units with overhead guide-rail integrated into the storage system’s steelwork and two-rail units set up independently of the rack structure. One advantage of two-rail units is their low wheel loads, since the vertical load is spread between four rather than two wheels.

    The ETV has different operating modes. As well as a fully automatic mode, a semi-automatic mode or completely manual mode is possible; naturally a special maintenance mode is also provided for.

  • Shipment buffers

    Where your cargo awaits the next stage

    For the intermediate storage of cargo in the shipment buffer before or after despatch we offer flexible solutions.

    From the manually operated storage system (usually bay storage system) through to the fully automated high-bay storage system with linked conveying equipment. The cargo items included in the air waybill (AWB) can be placed together on in-house pallets and inspected direct with X-ray equipment. This optimises procedures and processes and reduces the need for storage space.

Transport

  • Transfer trolleys

    Amova transfer trolleys can move ULDs individually or in lots and cover long transfer distances economically

    Take advantage of this flexibility and deploy the transfer trolleys at different points, either as part of a lift-&-run system, as a link between ULD high-bay storage system and work station or between two conveying sections. Optionally the transfer trolleys can be provided with various additional functions, for example, a turning function or weighing system.

  • Hoists

    ULD high-bay storage systems with a high throughput requirement are often designed as a lift-&-run system

    Here reliable and efficient hoists are needed that link the individual levels vertically and so optimally complete the dynamic system. If the cargo (import/export) is handled on different floors of the building, a hoist ensures efficient material flows and a high degree of flexibility.

    Think green: AMOVA hoists can, if requested, be provided with different functions that even further increase energy efficiency and so reduce operating costs

    • In ECO mode vehicle movements are dynamically adapted to current throughput requirements.

    • With KERS (kinetic energy recovery system) the energy released when lowering the load can be recovered and re-used.
  • Truck docks

    Amova truck docks are the central interface between internal and external logistics

    The entire dock is mounted on rails and fitted with a scissor lift, so it can both be moved sideways and also be easily adapted to the height of the truck. By this means convenient and fast loading and unloading are guaranteed. For conveying the ULD onto the roller deck of the truck dock a cable winch is provided; as required, the dock can also be additionally equipped with a pusher or calibratable weighing machine. On the fully automatic variant ULD recognition is possible and the condition of the goods on delivery and at dispatch can be documented with photographs.

  • X-movers

    The flexible all-rounders

    Equipped with a multidirectional steering system and a vertically adjustable roller deck, it can be used as a transfer trolley, dolly dock, truck dock or even ETV up to a height of seven metres. Intended for use in compact air cargo terminals, AMOVA’s X-movers also enable flexibility in large terminals. The hybrid drive is designed for operation both in and out of doors.

  • Work stations

    Ergonomic and clever packing

    When it comes to the fast and secure loading and unloading of air cargo pallets and containers, amova’s ergonomic work stations are the right solution!

    An integrated hoisting function makes work easier and faster. Depending on the requirement, the stations are equipped with additional functions, such as turning device, contour checker or weighing machine.

  • Roller decks

    Move – link – buffer!

    Amova roller decks form the basis of the conveying system and guarantee secure and careful transport of the ULDs.

    Regardless of whether you choose the powered or manual variant. Inside the high-bay ULD storage system special roller decks moved by a friction drive (friction driven roller deck) coupled to the ETV go into action.

  • Dolly docks

    The gateway to the skies

    Amova dolly docks receive ULDs unloaded from or to be loaded onto aircraft.

    To enable a careful transfer from or to the airfield transport trolleys, they are height-adjustable. Dolly docks are available in various versions – as a manual or powered roller deck and with or without turning function, as required.

  • Video monitoring (CCTV)

    Provides safety and security and ensures quality

    Video monitoring (CCTV) throughout enables all the work processes to be optimally tracked and also documented for quality assurance.

    Our standard includes integrated CCTV systems for setting up at all the most important positions in the terminal. Video picture and system visualisation together enable comprehensive information capture and diagnosis both in- and outside the system.

  • Warehouse Management System

    Uniware. Ready to start

    In Uniware, Amova offers a modular warehouse management system with directly functionable modules for all the standard processes at an air cargo hub.

    All project-specific adaptations and extensions (customizations) are done on this basis. The system features ready-to-use interfaces to common cargo host systems like Champ, Hermes or UniSys.

    Uniware offers in its modular and freely configurable structure need-based solutions for all the processes required in the cargo terminal, such as yard management, warehouse management or the ramp & transport service. All processes are designed to enable changes in general conditions (dynamic flight plan change, break-down after deadline) to be suitably responded to at any time.

    Uniware is an integrated system. It combines warehouse management, material flow computer, system visualisation and control technology into a unit.

  • System visuali­za­tion

    Everything in view – from the general to the particular

    With Amova system visualization you can keep track of your cargo stream and have it under control at all times.

    The zoom function enables areas of the overall view to be magnified so much that e.g. faults can be looked at more closely and rectified faster.

    Visualisation provides precise information on fault details, such as limit switch occupancy. This enables the required measures, such as taking spare parts along to the site, to be taken without visiting the fault site beforehand. That saves the employee e.g. having to climb onto the elevating transfer vehicle.

    Amova system visualization saves time and money, increases system availability and helps you deal with your cargo on time.

  • System operation

    Intuitive and mobile

    Amova systems are easy to operate. Easy-view control screens with very little text but with symbols instead.

    Displays and control elements are conveniently positioned where the operator needs them. The use of mobile terminal devices increases efficiency still further. The maintainer receives the fault signal on his smartphone direct. The operator can chase up a missing consignment via a tablet pc. The works manager can also enquire the current status of the system from home.

  • Process automation

    Automation of our systems is one of AMOVA's core expertises.

    The heart of the matter is Siemens PLC control systems and high-quality sensors, coupled with reliable industrial bus systems. Thanks to its many years of experience in this market AMOVA has at its disposal a large choice of standard modules. That makes our automation solutions economical and reliable.

    Naturally, system availability has the highest priority. The cargo has to get to its destination! Accordingly, right at the concept stage rules are observed for the required redundancy and means of manual intervention provided for.

    Systems in which automated and manual system sections merge into one other present a special challenge for safety technology. AMOVA has a lot of expertise in this area and works out the most economical concept possible based on regional requirements.

    Other highlights of amova automation are automatic barcode recognition, uld number recognition using a camera system, or precise automatic volume recognition, which, in conjunction with an automatic weighing system, make accounting processes considerably easier.
