CaliView is a mobile, contact‑free measuring system for precise alignment of roll passes in seamless tube mills and stand workshops. Using a backlight and a fixed‑focus camera, it captures the contour and position of each pass and evaluates the data in real time. Operators can adjust the rolls directly during measurement and reliably detect roll wear. CaliView works across PQF®, MPM, PSM®, SRM, piercing mills, and sizing mills. All results are stored in a database for evaluation, enabling optimized maintenance and stable production. With its optical measurement principle, Wi‑Fi data transmission, and a measurement range from 20 to 577 mm, the system provides accurate positioning of radial and axial offsets, reduces alignment errors, and supports consistently high tube quality.
