Eccentric closed-die forging presses of type MP from SMS group combine very high precision with high productivity. Designed for demanding forging operations, they can be employed for practically any forging application, including hot and warm forming as well as forging with and without flash. A frequency-controlled main drive and a hydraulically actuated clutch and brake system ensure precise and reliable operation. The press concept is designed for stable production conditions, accurate forming results, and dependable performance in continuous operation. The scope of supply can include an integrated, fully automated servo-electric walking-beam system, spray systems, and a bolster-changing cart for rapid automated bolster and process changes. These systems ensure a smooth and harmonized production sequence while reducing non-productive time during changeovers. Together, press technology, automation, and handling equipment provide the basis for precision, maximum reliability, and an efficient production chain.
